Youth in Seattle are coming together to perform a night of fashion, music, and inspiration to make a difference in the lives of foster children and teens through the power of generosity. Local teenagers in the Seattle area are partnering up with Treehouse to make a difference in the community. Stylin' and Sharing is a fashion exposition and runway show. Under the guidance of professional model Michael Delk, local teen models have worked hard to practice and perfect their walks, chosen the most fabulous clothes to show off, and passed along clothes they no longer need to other teens in need. All ticket proceeds and clothes used in the show will be donated to the Treehouse Wearhouse to benefit local foster kids. This will be a fun event for all ages. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Parking is free. Tickets are $10 through Brown Paper Tickets and $12 at the door. Clothing and cash donations have been collected and will continue to be until the event is over. Then everything raised goes directly to Treehouse.

Sequim lavender farmers once again welcome the world to stunning lavender farms at the annual Sequim Lavender Farm Faire, bringing together 17 years of lavender farming traditions during Sequim Lavender Weekend, July 19-21, 2013. The Faire unites all things lavender with the Heritage Lavender Farm Tour and Lavender Arts & Crafts Faire in the Park. The heritage farms are the classic and beautiful destination farms of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley on the Olympic Peninsula, family-owned and operated farms, with over 125 years of collective lavender-growing experience. Our farmers live on the land and are full-time farmers, committed to the highest quality lavender, lavender products, and events.
This event cannot take place without the assistance of volunteers. Families can serve together or individuals can make new friends. Volunteers serve as our ambassadors and greet visitors in a beautiful setting that stimulates all the human senses. In exchange for four or more hours of service during the weekend, volunteers receive a free admission, lavender plant, and tshirt. Anyone interested should check out the video, pictures, information, and application on the volunteer page of our website. (Training is provided.)
