Human Trafficking Awareness March

SPREAD HOPE AND JESUS' LOVE!! We will be meeting at a certain area once we find out where. Most likely it will be at a church. Please email me/follow facebook for more updates National Human Trafficking Awareness Day March!! January 11,2015

This will be sometime around 2-2:30 P.M ( so those that go to church can go before ) We will meet somewhere on Aurora Ave, North of Seattle and March for about 2 miles up Aurora. Location of meeting zone will be announced closer to January! Please bring signs, This will be a silent/peaceful march! Wear red or black shirts and please please invite all of your friends. If you do not know the history of Aurora Ave, it is a hotbed for Human trafficking. It is one of the main tracks ( where Girls are being sold/forced to walk the streets ) In King County. There will be some of us meeting before hand to make sandwiches to hand out as we are walking ( If we see any girls out ). We will also be handing out little note cards with resource info on it if we do get the chance to talk to any girls. Remember, this will be a time of marching and raising awareness, but also to speak into the lives of hundreds of these girls. There will be customers driving up and down Aurora, if we can put this image of Abolitionists walking up and down the road, saying NO to this crime, maybe we can put fear in them to never come back to this area again! SLAVERY WILL STOP in SEATTLE. It is time to face up to Sex trafficking and do something about it!! If you have any questions please feel free to message me.

This is a great opportunity for a mini One day Mission Trip here in King County!

*Please do not bring your children. If they are under 18, please understand that we are going to a hot spot area to spread awareness. It is up to YOU , to make the decision based on if you think this will be okay for your daughters/sons to join us. :)

Many are captives who are trafficked for sex, sold by their poverty-stricken parents, pimps, traffickers in motels, brothels and on the streets. Others toil in sweatshops, make rubber for our tires and harvest cocoa beans for our chocolate. Globally, there are more slaves now than ever before.

A number of nonprofits are calling on the government to do something about it on Jan. 11, Human Trafficking Awareness Day -- and in the wake of President Obama declaring January National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

27 million people who are considered modern-day slaves engaged in forced labor and sex.
