Serendipity Dance Brigade Presents:  "Fire & Ice"

November 15th, 16th, and 17th at 8pm at Velocity Dance Center's Founders Theatre SEATTLE, WA - Serendipity Dance Brigade presents "FIRE & ICE", an unique evening of living sculptures by textile visionary, Antonia Price, original musical compositions by Eric Eugene Aguilar, Girl Trouble, Birch Pereira, Scott Rixe, Spekulation & Craig van den Bosch AND Modern dance choreography by Kristen Kridelbaugh/Oakland, The BareFoot Collective's Michael Hoover/Tacoma, Karin Stevens/Seattle and Sarah Kathryn Olds/Seattle.

Velocity Dance Center will be transformed into a LIVE set installation consisting of two floor-to-ceiling columns of fabric with dancers concealed inside.  Each choreographer has been approached to showcase recent works but will be seen in a different light, some inspired by direct collaboration with the Composer, some inspired by Humanity, Quantum Physics and Islamic Architecture, and others inspired by life itself.  All Composers involved are brilliant in their craft and some have stepped outside of their genres to make hybrid music.  Finally, the dancers in this production are well-rounded and exhibit mastery not only in the Choreographer’s visions, but in their intentions as performers.

  • Make The Call

“I need to call my friend and have lunch, it’s been way too long!” I think this and then forget. Does this ever happen to you? I regret this happening to me all too much in the past 7 years. Since I got married and had kids life is like one big tornado! My excuses are that I’m just too tired tonight, or I can’t because this week is crazy, my kids have too many activities, or my husband works a lot and I feel guilty taking the time, plus I just can’t spend the money. Any of these sound familiar? The thing is what if that person is no longer there to call? Read More
