Where: Animal shelters across Washington (view a full list of participating shelters at www.pawsitivealliance.org)

What: Sixteen Washington animal shelters will be opening up their doors to host an Open House and bring community members in as honored guests—and the animals will cheer as they are adopted out to their forever homes.

Visit the Pawsitive Alliance website (www.pawsitivealliance.org) for a list of participating shelters and see what fun activities they have planned, as well as the sponsors who are helping put on this unique and important event!

Part of the fun for our Statewide Open House Event will be happening in Yakima, at Yakima Humane Society.  Pawsitive Alliance is hosting our 2nd Annual Super Pets Adoption Event over two days, October 5 and 6, from 10-2 each day at the Yakima Humane Society.  Nearly 100 dogs and cats will be available for adoption and eager to greet you as part of Yakima Humane Society’s Open House Pawty!  For more information about Super Pets, check out event page here: http://www.pawsitivealliance.org/super-pets-dog--cat-adoption-event.html.

About Pawsitive Alliance:

Pawsitive Alliance is a nonprofit organization working to end the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington State by increasing adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and improving pet retention.  As part of that mission, they host large multi-shelter dog and cat Adoption Events throughout the year across the State. Their Adoption Events support animal agencies by bringing additional attention, exposure, and opportunities for adoption to homeless dogs and cats. To date, Pawsitive Alliance has helped more than 3,900 dogs and cats find their new home!

  • Make The Call

My excuses are that I’m just too tired tonight, or I can’t because this week is crazy, my kids have too many activities, or my husband works a lot and I feel guilty taking the time, plus I just can’t spend the money. Any of these sound familiar? The thing is what if that person is no longer there to call? Read More
