On Friday evening, September 20th, and all day Saturday, September 21st, St. Brendan parish is hosting a “Seminar of Hope, How to Pray for Your Sons, Daughters and Loved Ones” .

Vernon Robertson, a Catholic evangelist, developed the seminar over 20 years ago and has presented it throughout Europe, the US and Canada.  He was awarded the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (For Church and Pope) Cross by Pope Benedict XVI.  It is the highest medal that can be awarded to the laity by the Pope.

The central theme of his seminar is how to pray with power as we pray God’s word into the lives of our loved ones.  Some of the topics, key messages and scriptures covered by Vernon are:

o     How is your prayer life?

o     When good parents suffer, where is God?

o     A look at how Jesus prayed.

o     When parents came to Jesus on behalf of their children, what happened?

o     Praying God’s words into the lives of your loved ones.

o     God’s promises to parents.
