I didn’t know it would affect me so deeply… when our cat Buddy failed to recover after an 8 day illness and passed away just over a week ago.

Every cat is different. Buddy was attentive, even conversational. I’d say “meow” to him every morning and he’d reply the same. He liked to camp out behind the computer monitor when I worked. Can’t say I was fond of him napping on the keyboard, which always changed the settings on my PC. He slept in my lap many a time over the years, especially in an emotionally difficult season of life.

I don't know that God promises us we'll see our pets again, but knowing His profound nature of love, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if I’ll be conversing with Buddy again someday.
