  • Be still!  I remember being reminded of that when I was a kid.  I find myself sternly whispering that to my boys today.  Hush!  Be quiet!  Why is it I think making them be quiet is going to make my life easier and more relaxed?

  • My wife and I were busy raking up the yard last weekend, when a delivery truck pulled up next to us. The driver rolled down his window and greeted us with a question rather than a box. “Hey, what kind of tree is that?” Oh, “a tulip tree,” my wife answers. “I’ve been driving by it a few days now and it’s really pretty,” he said.  We chatted a bit longer and then off he went.

  • I was encouraged by something my son said the other day and I want to share it with you, too.  My son Hayden got braces recently. A few minutes into the ascent

  • Listening to SPIRIT 105.3…the encouragement and hope that is heard in the music, can be just what your heart ordered.  It amazes me to hear from listeners who want to know the title of a song, or the artist who sang it, because it’s just what they needed to hear at that time.

  • My boys and I were watching the game. It didn’t take long for our heads to be hanging low. Never before had we seen our beloved Seahawks play so poorly. Quarter by quarter, interception by interception, our doubt was growing. My son Hayden even said, “It’s going take a miracle.” I had gotten to the point where I
