SPIRIT 105.3 DJ - Weekends
  • My boys and I were watching the game. It didn’t take long for our heads to be hanging low. Never before had we seen our beloved Seahawks play so poorly. Quarter by quarter, interception by interception, our doubt was growing. My son Hayden even said, “It’s going take a miracle.” I had gotten to the point where I

  • My oldest son, Bradley, broke his wrist last week playing soccer. For the past several days we’ve been helping him bathe, get dressed, and even style his hair – though we had to give that one up since apparently we don’t “do it right”. Since it’s his right wrist and he is right-handed, we’ve also

  • Did you have the chance to watch Monday night’s episode of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls”.  Bear is a survivalist/adventurer and on the show he takes a celebrity on a challenging two day quest through the wild outdoors.

Monday night’s show featured NFL superstar Deion Sanders, being tested physically and mentally in the Utah desert. During a campfire chat, Bear got personal with Deion, asking how he felt after winning the Super Bowl. His answer was surprising.

  • A reminder of what the Christmas season is about
Are you preparing to hang Christmas lights at your home? If you’re like me, you probably wait and hang your lights the day after Thanksgiving. That’s when you’ll find me out on the roof. But first, this weekend, I have to pull the lights out of the boxes in the garage, get them untangled and replace any burnt out bulbs.

  • The other night when I got home from work, my youngest son, Hayden, met me in the garage with his hands in the air. “Hey, hi Dad,” he said. “Yeah, if you’re wondering why I have band-aids on my hands, I fell playing kickball at recess today.” Then he turned and went back in the house...returning 30 seconds later with what REALLY happened.
