Meet The Moms: Shari Lynne

My life? Well, I’m a Stay at Home Mom/Grammy and have 7 children and 5 (almost 6) grandchildren.  My children range in ages between 13 and 37 and my grandchildren range in ages 0-8

I babysit 2 of my 5 grandchildren 3-4 days a week and get paid for it!  I know..I’m crazy spoiled....and tired!

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 26 years and here is the short version of our story.

When I met my husband 30 years ago, we were both single parents.  He had 2 children and I had 2 children.  We got married and blended our families together.  Whoosh! I had no idea how to be a Mom or Stepmom, as my past was filled with drug and alcohol addiction and a family that knew nothing of God.

After our older children were almost all grown (except one) my husband began to talk about having children together. WHAT?!  More children?  Being a Mom is so hard! So after much prayer I had a tubal reversal (oh yes, they had been tied for 16 years) and along came 3 more beautiful baby dolls.

And then there were 7.

I always say that God wanted me to have so many children because I needed so much work.  The truth is, I did and I still do need much work!  I can’t think of a job that has caused me to grow more in the Lord than being a Mom and a wife.

One thing I know for certain: God does indeed restore the years the locusts have eaten away!

God has created YOU for amazing things.  So let’s encourage one another and build each other up! I look forward to getting to know you!
