Tonight we are going into the past for the movie The Sandlot. This is our LAST movie in the park! We feel a slight sense of melancholy knowing that summer is leaving us and fall is on our doorstep. We also look forward to the schedule and structure that fall brings with it. We hope you feel the same. Join us tonight for a final bash as we bid summer farewell!
Movies begin at dusk (betwen 8:45pm and 9:30pm) and are shown under the stars on a huge, 40-foot inflatable screen with a state-of-the-art projection and sound system. Movies are free, family-friendly and carry a PG or G rating.
Movie Synopsis for The Sandlot: In the summer of 1962, a new kid in town is taken under the wing of a young baseball prodigy and his rowdy team, resulting in many adventures.
This is an older movie so we weren’t able to find a trailer or review to share with you of this one. You can screen the movie ahead of time by searching YouTube. It is also registered as being on Netflix.
The series also features eight non-profit agencies, one per week. We invite you to participate by donating to the many programs and services each agency provides our community-in-need. This weeks non-profit is Jubilee Reach. If you feel led to donate, they are in need of: new or slightly used Women’s clothing, new or slightly used Men’s clothing, housewares.
See you tonight!
