(Bellevue – WA) Debbie Cantwell of King County has been recognized as a SPIRIT 105.3 “Unsung Hero.”
Debbie understands the struggle of fighting Breast Cancer. Diagnosed at 41, she was blessed to have her community supporting her through her trial. She also understands that other woman fighting the same disease may not have the same help from family and friends. With that idea, she started the organization today known as The Pink Daisy Project. The nonprofit sends gift cards for groceries and gas to help with daily finances so they can provide for their families while keeping themselves healthy.
It’s important for women living with breast cancer to know there is a community of followers fighting beside them. Since 2008, the Pink Daisy Project has helped over 150 women, and continues to bless people daily. To find out more or to give to The Pink Daisy project visit www.pinkdaisyproject.com.
With a servant’s heart and a passion for others, Debbie is a shining example of the “SPIRIT of Seattle.” It’s an honor and a privilege to recognize him as one of our “Unsung Heroes.”
