To say United Airlines is going through a rough patch in public relations may be putting it mildly. From the violent removal of a bumped passenger to the death of a beloved bunny, it’s not been a good month for the United. Today, United is set to announce 10 new or updated customer service policies meant to counter some of the bad press. Among the changes: Employees will be able to offer up $10,000 to try to entice overbooked passengers to take different flights and the airline will no longer attempt to involuntarily remove passengers who’ve already boarded their flights “unless safety or security is at risk.”
