Delta aims to recover from multi-day meltdown after five straight days of delays and cancellations caused by storms last week. They had canceled more than 160 flights by Sunday evening with nearly 1,050 more flights running behind schedule. Delta’s hope is to see close-to-normal operations by the start of the workweek today.
The Seattle Mariners released a new menu that will bring great food and drinks to hungry baseball fans at Safeco Field. In partnership with a slew of local restaurants like Ballard Pizza Company, Dynamite Chicken, Poquitos and Uptown China, among others, the Mariners will give fans a wider variety of entrees, snacks and beverages this season. One item on the menu is sure to turn heads: Oaxacan chapulines. That’s chile-lime salt seasoned toasted grasshoppers.
State Road 530 near Oso will be closed at least through Thursday because of a slow-moving landslide. Drivers reported cracks in the roadway. Snohomish County officials looked into it and saw some more movement but haven’t seen any since Friday. Eleven homes nearby have been evacuated.
