We are looking forward to 2017 and feeling reflective. Instead of resolutions we are have words and songs that lead us into the new year. We look toward Jesus as we celebrate a fresh start. What are your words, resolutions or songs for the new year?

The lyrics of My Victory by Crowder resonate powerfully with me as we head into 2017.
You carried sin and shame the guilt of every man
The weight of all I’ve done nailed into Your hands
Oh, Your love bled for me
Oh, Your blood in crimson streams
Oh, Your death is hell’s defeat
A cross meant to kill is my victory

My keyword heading into 2017 is one thing God wants to see in us – Trust in Him.
Trust in You by Lauren Daigle is my song for the new year.

My word for 2017 is Rest.
I want to slow down, not do too much and rest more in His presence. I’ve realized now that I’m a Mom how crazy life gets, but also how fast it’s going. Spending more quite time with God will allow me to hand over more of life to Him. He knows the plans and with it comes a more fruitful life.
Psalm 62:5 “Yes, my soul, find rest in God: my hope comes from him.”
My song:
Sarah
My word for 2017 is Rise.
Rebecca
My word for 2017 is SEE. Sometimes I get so stuck in the daily muddle of life that I don’t stop and really see what God is up to. He leaves us so many breadcrumbs along the trail, but we are often so distracted we don’t see them.
I chose First by Lauren Daigle as my song this year as a simple reminder to look toward Christ first.
