Donald Trump is elected as our 45 president. There is no denying the close race. 218 Electoral votes for Hillary and 276 Electoral votes for Donald.
GOP MAINTAINS CONTROL- Republicans will maintain control of the House, Senate Florida’s Marco Rubio wins re-election in Senate race.
Stock markets around the world have dropped sharply and US markets are expected to open down. Some investor say that it may be due to uncertainty over President Elect Trump’s economic policies.
Election night returns show voters are approving Sound Transit 3, a $54 billion plan to expand mass transit in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. Under the plan, 62 miles of light rail would be built, extending lines to 37 new areas, including Redmond, Issaquah, and Tacoma.
US Senator Patty Murray Governor Jay Inslee and were both apparently reelected yesterday. Inslee’s opponent Bill Bryant is not ready to concede yet. He wants to see what happens when the rest of the votes are counted. A spokesman for his campaign said only 2 million of the 4.2 million mail in ballots have been counted.
