FBI Director James Comey accused former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday of having been “extremely careless” in handling classified information on her private email server but recommended that she not face criminal charges.
Former Olympic sprinter 29 year old Oscar Pistorius was sentenced to 6 years in prison yesterday for taking the life of his girlfriend in 2013. Pistorius, 29, had faced a mandatory prison term of at least 15 years but the South African Judge said substantial and compelling circumstances allowed her to reduce the sentence. He was immediately jailed.
Randall Rager, who broke his ankle, was rescued by a group of strangers. ‘I just don’t know their names but they were just incredible, they really were. I’m convinced if they didn’t help me I would have been literally crawling for hours,’ he said. The rescuers helped Rager to their campsite where they made an improvised splint. They then helped him hike slowly back to his truck and he was able to drive himself to the hospital.
Three men saved toddler who was buried alive at the beach- The mother told the men she was applying sunscreen on her other child when she turned her back on her son and he disappeared. The men instantly realized the child may have been buried. They began digging. After performing CPR the toddler started breathing again and he’s expected to make a full recovery.
