Honest Tea has been doing an experiment the last few years in Seattle to see just how honest we really are when no one appears to be looking.
The experiment:
From now until mid-August, the company will set up an unmanned kiosk stocked with their beverages in various locations. Consumers can choose to pay $1 on the honor system or take a bottle with no consequences. It’s a light-hearted social experiment to see what people will do when they think no one is looking. Last year, 96% of the participants paid up – a big improvement from 2014, in which only 92% of participants paid. This year’s results will be announced in August.
All money collected is donated to charity.

So, what do you think? How honest will we be this year?
