Visitors to the Ballard Locks had a rare sighting yesterday: a gray whale swimming in the channel. Sadly, the spectacular sighting might be bad news for the whale. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) tells KING 5 the whale appears emaciated. NOAA is monitoring the situation with the help of the Orca Network and Sno-King Marine Mammal Response.
Police say that two mentally ill and dangerous patients have escaped from Western Hospital in Lakewood. They are Mark Alexander Adams and Anthony Garver. Adams is 59 years old and stands 6 feet tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has long blond hair and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey shorts. Garver, who is 28 years old, 5’8′ tall and weighs 250 pounds with curly brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt and orange flip flops.They say if you see them, keep your distance and call 911.
