The Blizzard of 2016 dumped ice and snow on airports from the Carolinas to New England, and though the snow finally stopped, airlines are scrambling to get their flights back on track — and that will be no easy task. Several of the USA’s busiest airports lost an entire day’s schedule during the peak of the storm. More than 1,300 flights scheduled for today have already been canceled. Overall, more than 12,000 flights were canceled nationwide since Friday, causing a ripple effect that extended throughout all the airlines.
Do you think community college should be free? A group of lawmakers in Washington have announced a proposal to make community college and technical college free for state residents without a bachelor’s degree. Some qualifying students could also get a stipend for books and other expenses based on family income.
It will be the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl. The Broncos’ Peyton Manning will become the oldest quarterback to play in a Super Bowl. He’ll be taking on one of the best young quarterbacks in the league, the Panthers’ Cam Newton.
