The flooding at The Stadium Bowl at Stadium High School in Tacoma is so bad that it will be closed until February. The football and soccer teams will have to play their games somewhere else. They described it as like a waterfall coming down the stairs, even ruining things in the locker rooms. Home games will be shifted to the Lincoln Bowl and Mount Tahoma High School.
You may have heard about a mother and a baby missing in Everett. Snohomish County Sherriff’s Department says they have found the mother but not the baby. The mom is only 16.
Until Sunday night it seemed like an almost impossible task: Parents at Alki Elementary were trying to raise $90,000 to keep the school district from moving a teacher out of the school in response to lower-than-expected student enrollment in the district. Parents were just a fraction of the way to their goal until Brian Jones, of Ballard, gave $70,000 of his own money to the effort.
