We are thankful for the men and women who have sacrificed so much and fought for our freedom. Will you join SPIRIT and recognize some of our local Military Heroes? Today we are recognizing Treyton Delk. This is the story that was submitted to us by his father:
Our son, Treyton (TJ) Delk, serves in the military. He signed with the US Navy (with our permission) when he was a 17-year old senior in High School, and is now 23 years old. TJ chose to work with the FA-18 Super Hornet squadron as an aviation structural mechanic and was deployed on an aircraft carrier world tour in 2011-2012. His ‘home’ base is located in Lemoore, California.
TJ freely gives of himself in order to assist others through acts of service, never asking anything in return. If there is a way to help, TJ will go out of his way to make it happen, and think nothing of it. TJ re-signed with the Navy earlier this year, and although is very busy during shifts, he has been found helping during his ‘off-time’ just because there are things that he notices should be done in and around the shop. TJ assists others with whatever task may be needed, such as helping someone move, or driving people to appointments, or helping with their vehicles, or even funding others so they can visit home. This list goes on and on. He serves more than just his country, TJ serves his community and fellow mankind with a giving heart.
SPIRIT 105.3 would like to thank GEICO for helping us recognize Military Heroes.
