Some Greeks would say Opa! means Joy. But the actual meaning of ‘Opa!’ is more like ‘Oops’ or ‘Whoops!’ I kind of like the joy definition. Can ya tell how exited I am to take this journey to Greece with you! Opa!
SPIRIT 105.3 is heading to the Greek islands to retrace the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. Your bible will come to life as we explore the ancient land where Paul made missionary journeys. I have never been to Greece so I’m very excited to share this amazing journey with you. I’m brushing up on the Greek language as we speak. 😉
Our Ten day adventure begins in Greece’s lively capital, Athens. You will join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner in Athens’ historic district – the Plaka – a lively historic neighborhood nestled at the foot of the Acropolis. Then we will embark on a wonderful 3-night cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey. Mykonos, the whitewashed jewel of the Cyclades Islands, is your first stop. This charming, mountainous island is known for the hundreds of tiny chapels, white-washed buildings and beautiful windmills that dot its landscape.
We will also visit the Monastery of John and the Cave of the Apocalypse where John the Evangelist, inspired by God, wrote the Book of the Revelation during his exile. And there is more! Together we will visit the island of Crete, travel through scenic mountain terrain to Delphi and Corinth where Paul wrote two epistles, lived and preached. It truly is a trip of a life time!
So get your passport ready! We embark on this beautiful journey in late October 2015. I can’t wait to share Paul’s walk with you. What amazing opportunity of fellowship, faith and fun! Hope you and your family can join us!
